Looking for a new craft to try that is simple yet elegant and allows you to completely let your creativity flow? Try an Altered book.
An altered book is a book which is changed in order to switch function from book to Art. Most altered books are not in brand new condition, they are found in resale shops, garage sales and the like.
When altering a book, there are no “rules” therefore the technique is quite simple. Simply pick out a book (preferably hardcover), gather your supplies such as paint, rubberstamps, embellishments, glue, etc, and go to work!
Create a collage on one page, make window pages, create fold-outs, the possibilities are endless!
