Safe Shopping Online

Scrapbooking tools come in a wide variety of shapes and colors. Die cuts, paper, scissors, markers, stickers and stamps are just some of the many tools that are available to the scrapbooker. But perhaps the most useful tool of scrap booking may be your computer.
There are many sites online dedicated to scrapbooking, and the resources needed to create the perfect scrapbook are all available at the click of a mouse. Scrapbookers can order their supplies online, look up layout ideas if they are in a rut, check out lists of topics for pages, or just chat online with other fellow scrap bookers.

If you have made the decision to order your scrapbooking materials online, please use caution.

Here are some things you can do to ensure that your shopping experience is safe:

• Make sure the address starts with https://. The “s” on the end of the http ensures that the page you are ordering on is secure and encrypted, and the only people who can read the data is the company you are ordering from. Also, check to see if there is a closed lock in the corner of your browser.
• Make sure you keep your receipts and email confirmation.
• Check to see if the site provides any contact information such as an address or phone number. This will ensure that you can contact someone if there are problems with your order.
• Type the name of the store in google and see what kind of results turn up.
