Handmade Chocolate Flower Gift Basket for Mother’s Day

An easy and inexpensive gift idea is to put together a basket of home made chocolate flowers. Women love two things in life, and the special woman in your life can have the best of both worlds when she receives a basket of chocolate flowers that you made yourself.
Flower molds, baskets and ribbons to decorate the basket can be found at local craft shops or online. Wrap ribbon around the handle of the basket and its base, and tie bows around it to decorate it. Line the bottom and sides of the basket with tissue paper so the chocolate won’t damage the basket.
Create the chocolate flowers by following this recipe:
You will need – 1 package of block cooking chocolate
Different flower molds
Wax Paper
Non-Stick cooking spray
1. Heat a pot on the stove on low until it gets warm.
2. Spray the non-stick cooking spray into the flower molds.
3. Break up the chocolate blocks and put into the pan.
4. Stir until the chocolate is melted ( Do not leave the pan )
5. After all of the chocolate has melted, carefully pour the chocolate into the flower molds.
6. Let the chocolate sit in the molds for 3-4 hours in the refrigerator.
7. If the chocolate doesn’t pop out of the mold easily, let it cool for another hour or two.
8. After the chocolate has cooled, tip the molds and pop the chocolate flowers out onto the wax paper.
9. Transfer the chocolate flowers to basket and arrange into a flower bouquet.
10. Keep refrigerated until gift-giving time.
